Meet Dr. Lavanya Sampasivam
Psychologist, Clinic Director

Dr. Sampasivam holds a PhD in Psychology from McGill University and has over 15 years of experience in the field. Her professional background includes positions at the Lester B. Pearson School Board, the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), the Douglas Hospital, and in private practice. She is committed to continuous professional development, regularly participating in continuing education to ensure the highest standard of care.

Dr. Sampasivam’s areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, perfectionism, complex trauma, and challenges with emotion regulation.​

Meet Ms. Rebecca Fox
Counsellor

I am a licensed Counsellor. I have five years of experience working with clients, using various therapeutic approaches, and addressing a range of difficulties. I am passionate about helping others and believe in having a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients.

My main area of expertise is social anxiety and I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome their social anxiety so that they can continue to live meaningful lives with the relationships and friendships they wish to make and maintain. I also specialize in career counselling and help clients to identify possible schooling and career paths by exploring their interests, skills and values. â€‹â€‹
Rebecca Fox

Meet Ms. Victoria Cucuzzella
Intern

Victoria Cucuzzella is a recent graduate from Carleton University obtaining a baccalaureate degree in Psychology where she completed her Honours Thesis in Self-Determination Theory and Motivation under the supervision of Dr. Shelley Brown and Dr. Tim Pychyl. During her time as an undergraduate student, Victoria volunteered in the Neuroscience of Imagination Cognition and Emotion Research Lab and worked as a research assistant for both qualitative and quantitative projects for Dr. Mirella De Civita. 

 

Victoria is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Yorkville University in Counselling Psychology while working for a non-profit organization; Sami Fruits Foundation Pour Les Petits, where she works with neurodiverse children. Victoria enjoys learning about recent research trends in the world of psychology and neuroscience, where she continuously works toward building a career in a clinical setting to assist others. â€‹

Clinically, Victoria is known for her warmth, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills. She brings a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to her work and strives to foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering therapeutic environment for every client.

Meet Ms. Malka Hershon
Doctoral Candidate (under supervised practice)

Malka is a doctoral candidate in Counselling Psychology at McGill University, where her research focuses on sleep and its associated factors in new families. Clinically, her approach is client-centred and integrative, where she meets every client with empathy, creating a warm and safe environment for their needs.

Meet Ms. Amy Noseworthy
Intern

As a Master of Counselling Psychology student, I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. I strive to create a compassionate, client-centred space where people feel safe, seen, and heard. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each client’s unique story.
